Just received my 15 pro max today..

It wouldn’t work with any sim. Checked the Imei, it’s blacklisted 🤦🏻‍♂️ headache of having to contact them on their stupid live chat isn’t worth the hassle (edited)

Yeah it’s likely an insurance claim. My question is. Why wasn’t this picked up during testing?

Poor form, I’ve got to wait 3-5 days just to see if they can unblacklist it.

I could return it and re-order, but it’s immaculate and never been activated, so hopefully they can

Dont buy these refurbished phones from Giffgaff.

Bought mine a few months ago and received a mint looking but refurbed phone. Upon closer inspection, they replaced the screen and outside shell. The problem is that they use cheaper parts. The screen didn't respond to touches in certain areas and the colours were worse.

    Sent it back immediately.

Damn. Reading comments like this too many times about giffgaff. Guess I won’t take the punt.

Market is fluded with phones now. Flagship phones arent much different to budget phones. Companies will struggle to sell flagship phones for more than £800. Can buy a cheap used £100 budget phone that does everything a flagship phone does. (edited)

Got mine the next day. Camera was replaced based on Apple warning message. It is going straight back for a replacement. Getting return label takes about 2min.

Update: replacement phone is like new. No warnings. Warranty until September. (edited)

With iPhones prices at this level, there is simple no excuse to get Android phones.

seems a bit overpriced, not even the pro max version and only 128gb?

Cost over £500 just to recycle. Name me an android phone for £600 that costs £500 to recycle, there is none.

This deal is for an iPhone. Why are the anti iPhone trollers looking at it. Sad just move on or do you wish you could afford one. Window shopping.
    ezzer72's avatar
Definitely an affordability thing here, £599 is just soooo much money

Good price. But we are half way to iPhone 16.

Are they still sending out new sealed phone with apple warranty?
    Sharjeel_A.'s avatar
No I bought a 15 pro max in like new condition last week and it wasn’t new. 16 charge cycles and no apple care possibility

Doubt it, says refurb so whatever that means in their eyes. Phone dropped orig in 2022 so be pot luck

Also the cpw deal few months back was £766 new and would factor in 24mth sim plan/100gb data too…so this is a pretty bad deal in comparison

I've went for it, order processed fine. Not sure why it's cheaper than the other colours but will see what it's like when it arrives.

    Update

Arrived yesterday, according to Apple the purchase date is Jan 2024 and looks brand new, 100% battery and even some AppleCare+. (edited)

This is a decent price compared to the iPhone 15 which is shares the same processor with but you get the better refresh rate and always on display but lack or type c

As a USB-C advocate but new phone-needer I’m struggling not getting this deal
    ezzer72's avatar
How would you deal with this if iPhone 15 still didn't have USB-C?

Got mine today, looks brand new, warranty until October, no repaired parts. Guess I got lucky.

Received mine today (thanks for sharing). I had just tried buying a 13 pro from musicmagpie, two showed up in a condition that was nothing like "pristine", and had warnings about displays and cameras being replaced. This one from Giffgaff arrived, looks new, no marks, no warnings on dodgy parts. Warranty until July-24. Not as good as some of you have lucked out with on the warranty side but i'm satisfied enough.

Worth a punt if you are looking to save a bit on a refurb/nearly new iphone.

    Received mine….brand new it seems,
    Apple warranty till march 2025

Mine arrived today! Seemed to be quite unlucky - a few pixels on the right side of screen are just black. Straight for a refund!
