sorted byThe endless limit breaks do make it too easy, but I was glad of them. I couldn't be bothered breeding a gold chocobo this time around, so no Knights of Round or Quadra Magic.
Knights of Round animation would be bearable with 3x speed, but I couldn't be bothered with Emerald or Ruby Weapons. I've 100 percented it before on PSX. I did get most of the best equipment, Omni Slash at Golden Saucer and all of the other level 4 limit breaks, but that was it.
What I noticed this time around though is how bad the ending is. It's just a lengthy cut scene followed by credits and Red XIII (or his descendants) right at the end. It doesn't tell you anything about what becomes of them, other than the fiery tailed member.
Back in 1997 when I first played it I was blown away by the cut scenes, but story telling in gaming has evolved now. It's difficult going back, even to some of the best made games of all time. (edited)
