    This peat free miracle grow is crap compared to the old stuff! Doesn’t hold water the same and dries out very quickly! Had used the old stuff for years in pots and hanging baskets and it was excellent. Used the new stuff last year for the first time and there was a huge difference!

    Well it would be good if they, like most other brands, hadn't decided to ruin their compost by removing peat from it.

    They haven't decided... they haven't had a choice. I love peat based compost but as gardeners we are supposed to love the environment, not destroy it by using peat. There is a place for a small amount of peat use in horticulture but it probably shouldn't be mass used in multi purpose compost (99% of compost sold).

    This isn't particularly cheap if you have a car and can pick it up from a supermarket or garden centre. This is a good deal if you require delivery though.

    Well yer, because compost is not lite. Adding postage to compost massively adds to it's price.
