Was tempted til I mooched the reviews... Not good. Not seen anything like that for breakages before, either poorly manufactured or poor quality materials.

If you're seriously after a set I highly recommend the Irwin ones. Yes they are expensive compared to these but they have saved me from so many pinches it's paid for itself over

Review by a mechanic. If you haven't got time to watch, the upshot is that unsurprisingly they're not as good as Irwin, but not bad. (edited)

    Thanks OP, bought.

Honestly good people, it's a tenner; a tenner well spent if it gets me out of trouble just once. I have wasted more cash on less no doubt.

I had to buy this kit, as I know that within a short space of time I'll have an event that requires them, and kick myself to kingdom come for not buying

    It's the law of sod.

Thank you I really appreciate your post

These look fine for the money (I have the Irwin set). The reviews show the damaged fasteners that have been removed by using this set, not the tools being damaged.
There are always people who misuse or abuse tools then complain about the results.

I've struggled to undo painted b& rusty bolts on my balcony. What's next if they can't be undone?

Blowtorch to burn the paint off and apply heat. Plenty of Plusgas left to soak in, followed by more heat.

If that fails then drill them out (use cobalt drills) and re-thread with helicoil or the like.
