Great price for a very versatile unit. You can put it across the battery terminals, when you want to remove the battery, and then remove the battery without losing power to all your accessories. So no need to for radio keycodes etc. Or you can use it to power one heck of a 12v spotlight, whilst working on the car. Or test lamps up to 80W.
As a charger - it has the lot*. Pulse charging to recover a "dead" battery that has been discharged to near zero. Recognises the AH of the battery (over or under 50AH) and adjusts the charging rate accordingly.

If you are puzzled by the mention of "ring connectors" (as I was) - no, those appear to be optional extras, that can be fitted in place of the snap grips. Not sure why you would want to - but, if that's what you want..

Don't lose the manual that comes with it. The display is about as intuitive as a display could be. The error and warning codes seem to be totally random. Even the "bar code" charge state indication goes up, then down, then up again?? go figure. Half way up, with a fuzzy top, is apparently fully charged.

Would I buy one? Yes, if I hadn't made my own. Rather larger and with cell temperature monitoring and compensation*. So this one doesn't have everything. But then - it's still a bargain at this price.

Ring connectors leave a small connector so you can just plug in to the vehicle without having to lift the bonnet. It has a little connector that you route somewhere convenient and undoubtedly some forget to disconnect before driving off.
Very useful for those who have cars that are rarely driven to keep the battery topped up.

I believe the idea is similar to the noco ring connectors! (edited)

Cost more, but cant really go wrong with a decent CTEK

Are they worth the extra £60 vs this?

My mrs motor is seldom used but recently we have had to jump start it on a few occasions. Say 3 or 4 times in the last 2 months. She does do very little mileage in it.
Would this be useful for us to attach to her battery and get it sorted??

Yes. As its been cold, it affects the battery somewhat more. This should charge it up and keep it hopefully keep it good.

Nice, need to replace the old one thanks.

Better than most car chargers because this one is 8A and often only 4A is sold, which takes a long time to charge.

Ordered thanks OP. Since Covid mine doesn’t get driven much and forever experiencing battery discharge

I'd much rather have the Stanley one than a made-up Amazon 'brand', especially for something I'm going to leave charging unattended for maybe 10-14 hours. Stanley one is also 33% faster.

    Thanks ordered.

Will this come with the ring connectors in the box or are they sold separately?
Product description implies they're in the box, but the description isn't on the eBay listing and the eBay photos only show the clips. (edited)

Not in the box so must be sold separately

I think that these switch into 2A charging mode if you have a smaller car battery. I think the limit may be <48AHr BICBW (read the manual). If so, adding a small load (even an interior light might do the trick), decreases the rate of terminal voltage rise and may trick the charger into going into 8A mode. OK, you will lose maybe half an amp or an amp to the small load, but will still be charging at 7A rather than 2. ..
