Here we have an absolute classic Speysider from a long-time family-owned distillery. This 25 year old single malt from Glenfarclas spent its days in 100% Oloroso sherry casks. It’s complex and delicately sherried, a whisky that’s sure not to disappoint. It won gold at the 2019 International Spirits Challenge and makes a great after dinner treat. Awesome.

I know people tend to downvote expensive whisky on here but this is a great price for a good aged statement whisky.

Interestingly the 21 year old is selling for £206.

Nose A touch of menthol. Classic Sherry notes, less pronounced than the 15 year old perhaps, but the complexity is greater.

Palate Incredibly clean central palate, but amazingly tangy. Really zingy top notes. Sherry and creamy barley, hints of gingerbread and nutty chocolate.

Finish Very, very long and complex finish, oak-rich, hints of smoke, cocoa, buttery...

Overall One of our all-time favourite Speyside malts.

Glenfarclas do some lovely stuff, good price. Still got half a bottle left of this from Xmas.

Can recommend the 105 too which is usually £60 or under.

Great find and cracking price. It’s going for £140 at auctions before fees! Absolutely belting find

Thanks - I ended up buying two - one for drinking and another to keep.

Need more space in the house!

Only bought this once, about 5 1/2 years ago, as Amazon had it for the bargain price of £85. It was nice, but nothing special for a 25yr old.

I agree with you, it was nice, but better whiskys out there for my palate for a much lower price.

Disappointed with this when I purchased for £100, not worth £150 IMO

Great price for this. Always preferred the 21 for some reason but it's currently discontinued due to stock.

    Tbh, I think I prefer the 15.

For anyone interested: Rally has given this 89, says it's a great whisky but could have done with a higher ABV. youtube.com/wat…jHY (edited)

The GF25 is a competent malt, it just suffers being bottled at 43%. As someone mentioned, the 15yo is a better buy @ <£70. Or failing that, the  best option would be to pick up a bottle of the 185th Anniversary GF. That’s amazing and can be had for <£120. It’s a better whisky than the GF25.
