For people who have bought these, is the roasting date printed on the packet, and if so how long ago was it?

Sweet spot is usually a week or two after roast. A lot of the beans from supermarkets have been sat on shelves for months and are way past their best.

There's no chance of you getting freshly roasted beans from anything other than a local roaster

Can’t see a packing date but my expire date ( just delivered today) is July 2025.

Please don't buy bagged supermarket coffee. The beans are usually months if not a year old and have lost most of their flavour. Beans should be ground freshly as you prepare the coffee and no longer than 2-6 weeks old. Buy a small bag from your local independent instead

Apples and oranges mate. A kilo of decent stuff at an Artisan roaster is going to cost north of £25 per kilo. This is what, £6?

You can get away with rubbish stuff for things like bean to cup, cafetierre etc. If you like a proper espresso or pourover, you'll need good quality coffee like you suggested.

There are a few exceptions to the rule too, Union coffee sold by Sainsburys is excellent - but sold at Artisan prices for the most part.

6 quid a kilo. Worth a shot. Pun intended. ☕️

These actually get good reviews (more so than their Columbian equivalent) and for under £6 with max S&S I'm prepared to give them a go.
    Thanks pikachu

Am I right in thinking that Brazilian coffee is usually a stronger taste than Columbian ? - if so, I'll stick to the columbian gear

Tempted, thanks. Normally I go for a 5 strength to get a bold brew out of my B2C machine but at £7 it's worth a pop.
