Anyone try this brand? Very tempted to get this

I purchased 3 last year and my only regret is that I didn’t buy more- prices were silly. Don’t be put off by dramless, performance is very good.

    It’s a DRAM-less drive

Might have mattered a lot five years ago but not now.

It's one of the fastest DRAM-less drives available, easily exceeding PS5 requirements. It's also a very good boot drive for pretty much any system as long as you don't plan to do massive multi gigabyte writes ten times a day, every day. Then you want the DRAM.

If you're just gaming or saving cat videos it isn't even stressed.

Installed today. Plays games spot on in a ps5. No complaints

    What’s Heatspreader?
    xMATHARUx's avatar
A heat sink to absorb heat which allows the drive to work at the highest speeds

Would this work in a enclosure for Xbox storage ?. I know nothing about these. (edited)

It would, but would be a waste, transfer rate would be massively capped...

Seems to be the lowest price ever

I've just ordered a crucial x9 Pro...do I cancel and order this and an enclosure? Only for storing files and phone backups etc
    nobbynuts's avatar
Yeah. Then if you ever need it in a laptop or computer you can just take it out and put it in

Can I plug and play in a ps5. Or do I need to buy anything extra?

Look at the comment above. Would probably need a heatsink too.

    This isn't expired O/P.

    Can anyone help?

I bought a 1070 graphic card last weekend but my OS and graphics is ultra slow and far slower than it was before. I've read this is because of the drivers which I've tried to solve without success. I've read a clean install of everything is possibly the best and easiest solution but I'm scared of wiping my drives in case I delete something I might need in future.

Can I buy this and install a fresh copy of Windows while keeping my other 2 drives as a backup as long as I boot from this drive? Will the other 2 drives conflict with this, especially the drive that already has Windows installed?

You should be able to select the default boot drive in the BIOS.

Gutted. Received mine today , opened package and the netac box had been ripped open and the SSD removed. Envelope was intact so looks like the packer has had it away.....got a refund but to be honest I'm unsure whether to order another......
