  • Tesco White Cabbage Carefully selected for its peppery flavour At Tesco we believe in the importance of expertly selecting our seasonal produce for its freshness and quality. Our White Cabbages come from trusted growers around the world. One of our growers, TH Clements is a family owned business which has been growing cauliflower for 50 years. Richard and his skilled team grow cabbage in the fertile silt soils of Lincolnshire where the mild coastal climate creates ideal growing conditions. Harvested and trimmed by hand, his white cabbages are packed in the field for freshness with a delicate, peppery flavour.

  • Packed with flavour Grown to be crisp and juicy, packs flavour into any meal. At Tesco we believe in the importance of expertly selecting our seasonal produce for its freshness and quality. Our brown onions come from trusted growers across the UK. One of our growers, the Rix family, have been growing onions for three generations in the light, sandy soils of the Stour Valley on the Essex/Suffolk border. The brown onions are carefully harvested in the warm and dry summer months, giving them a crisp outer skin that protects the juicy layers inside.

Wonder how much they'll be at the Express stores. For Christmas, I remember them being double the price of the sale offer, I know its still cheap, but still not the point.

UPDATE: Just As I thought... 35p in express stores....
Carrots are also 500g in mine not 800g. (edited)

Their greed knows no bounds. Ex-Metro stores pretending they're Express stores with the footprint of maybe the size of 3 or more of a typical Express store.

Top tip for next week when you have loads of uneaten swede and cabbage….

swede in the air fryer is delicious and sweet, chop up to the the size of fish and chip shop chips, pour oil over, 20 mins at 180°c

Boiled cabbage is horrid but chopped up small and fried is (chefs kiss) nice.

Every Monday if any vegetables where left over from Sunday roast we would get fried "bubble n squeak" never even realised it was just left over veg and scraps of meat.

Aldi is very poor quality food, Sainsbury's are now cheaper than them , I should know I now use them, chicken=better, cheese=cheaper and better, vegetables=last longer taste better, Aldi really has sneaked up there prices, more selection at Sainsbury's aswell

'I should know I now use them' ............out of the mouths of babes...........so does everyone else. SIGH!

Tesco all rounder - Saxon - all round rubbish - terrible thing that doesn't deserve to be called a potato.
Swedes so small they're more like white turnip size.

Aldi potato - Belana, and swedes worthy of the name. 2 to 3 times the size of Tesco's marbles

    Oh no

Let us hope those all rounders are better than Tesco Jacks which I think of as Father Jack potatoes. (edited)

Any recommendations on which supermarket to get potato’s from?
    NuffinisFree's avatar
Depends on what you are making as each will have different varieties.
