I loved this game in my younger years.

There's this fairly new game that looks like it was inspired by Virtua Racer, only more modern - not on sale yet, however. Developed by a small UK Developer.

The Megadrive version used the SVP (Sega Virtual processing) chip which went head to head with these late stage SNES SuperFX carts. Sega was in such chaos at this time with add ons and new hardware this ended up being the only SVP game released. Nintendo did somewhat better but the price was also steep for their SuperFX titles.

Sega put it on the 32X, then later the Saturn and there was even a PS2 version most people don't know about.

The 32X version blew my mind because it was probably the first 3D polygonal game I saw in my home, on a TV in the living room that felt like it was the future. It ran and looked way better than anything those add on carts ever managed.

Really amazing version of this arcade classic and exclusive to the Switch. Shame M2 seemed to have stopped after this and never brought any more classic Sega arcade games to Switch, just the same set of Genesis/Megadrive games that seem to get regurtiatated every generation...

Great release this but really would have shined if it had the additional content from the Sega Saturn version and then some coupled with the online play.

The Megadrive version had a special chip in the cart, making it more expensive.

Then a 32X version came out.

Wasn't this a 50 or 70 £ game at one point with some special chip on the cartridge. Crazy.

Haha you are correct mate, I can remember borrowing this game in the 90s think the cart was around the £70 mark
