Not as amazing as the other deals e.g. iphone 13, but the lowest price for a Like New 256GB Iphone 14 pro max available.

This is an o2 refresh plan. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT A CREDIT MARK ON YOUR FILE, IT ISN'T WORTH IT.

Steps
  • Click customise plan
  • Click pay your device in full
  • Click select this plan (the 1GB plan)
  • Then add to basket
  • Then cancel sim on arrival (e.g. use STAC method - which is simplest)

Thanks to and others for the code

Excuse my ignorance but what does this mean?

"This is an o2 refresh plan. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT A CREDIT MARK ON YOUR FILE, IT ISN'T WORTH IT."

It means it does a hard credit check which might affect your ability to get approved for other credit e.g. mortgage in the near future. So if such a thing is in your near future then might be best to avoid

Good luck trying to get CS to cancel the plan.

You can use a STAC code to cancel it so you don't need to interact with them at all. Then you'll still pay the first month though.

Using this code the iPhone 14 256GB is available at £360.

comes up as £400 for me

    Any Quidco or topcashback?

Probably not due to T&C where it will not be paid if:
    • If you pay off or cancel a Refresh PAYM contract before the 6 month validation period is completed.

Can someone explain this STAC code method? Should I just order, receive the phone and sim card, activate the sim card and request a STAC code using that sim card. But what to do next with the STAC code number? Because just like PAC code, do I need to actually give it to another operator? Or does a STAC code cancels the contract in 24 hours automatically even if I don't use that code?
    jaju123's avatar
    Author
You need to give it to another operator yes. But then nothing happens to the line with the other operator. That operator just cancels the O2 one for you.

Thank you very much for the heads-up, actually did not know there will be a hard mark. But does it mean it does not matter whether you decide to cancel or not? It will be the same hard mark?

The part about the scratches is scary!

“Like New devices aren’t brand new, but they're not far off. The only difference is that they may have some wear and tear and superficial scratches, but there’ll be no more than five deep scratches or chips up to 2mm in length. We'll make sure every device is loaded up with the latest operating system and rigorously tested before being re-packaged in an O2 box, for whoever gets in first. Plus, you'll get a 12 month warranty to put your mind at ease.”
    Jack_Shiels's avatar
Definitely not the same classification as places like GiffGaff or BackMarket. Those other outlets promise basically no scratches or marks.

It's o2 refresh so it's a month to month contract once you have paid off the phone in full (which you are doing upfront here)

    Nice one

Do you have to pay the handset off in one go? Any problems if you don’t?
    jaju123's avatar
    Author
I am not sure if the discount code works if you don't pay upfront. You might also then have to pay interest on the device cost. I haven't tested, sorry
  25. hash8511's avatar
Code still works with £300 up front but worried if extra cost somewhere else?
    jaju123's avatar
    Author
any idea if code can be used without paying full device upfront & what happens then?
  26. rehanraza80's avatar
ordered. heat added. thank you. just wondering what is this stack method of sim cancellation ?
    1an4492's avatar
Yes me too. I’ve ordered but never done this O2 cancellation method before. Would love a step by step guide if someone would be kind enough to:)

Order3dx cheers bought a 13 pro max other day sending back

Can you switch it to a sim only contract after (edited)
  31. zeb.mattey's avatar
Idk at this price may as well go full ham and get a 15 pro max. I got mine from giff gaff for £749, 256gb memory and 100% batt health. They can be had around there.

I don't think this is worth it over 13pm personally, it just has dynamic island and still pesky lightning and a heavy phone. 15pm is much lighter and you really notice (i made the upgrade)
    ck12111's avatar
Where do you see that price?
  32. jabzi786's avatar
Can someone please let me know how to pay upfront on the O2 page as I cannot see the option when selecting customise my plan. Thanks
    balduke's avatar
Under the customise my plan the text should read "Use our calculator to choose your upfront cost, data and Device Plan length. Or you can pay for your device in full."
Click the pay for your device in full part to get the option - it is a slightly different shade of blue to hide it!
  33. s_h13's avatar
What's a credit mark if you don't mind explaining.
    Palm_Tree's avatar
O2 will run a credit check. If you have a weak credit rating or are on the cusp of applying for a loan or mortgage then it might have a negative impact.
  34. trickybastud's avatar
That £200 off offer code doesn’t appear to work nor does it say you can buy the handset as an option. Just monthly and then the Just the £70 off offer works.
    How can it be amended?
