Does anyone recommend anywhere inThailand that isn’t seedy and suitable for families.

Always fancied trying Thailand but put off by the 2 seedy main resorts.

Not into the knocking shops n birds/blokes with bits out in over crowded bars trying to lure you and avoid party scene resorts

Like things a little low key now but not dead so enough bars and restaurants and lovely beaches. (edited)

I am currently in Thailand, travelling with hubby and 5 years old daughter for Easter holiday. Bangkok is a must, then you have Chang Mai in the north (mountains, elephant’s sanctuary), we are now in Koh Samui which is hands down the best island to travel to (1 hr flight from Bangkok). Krabi is also lovely but more as a base for islands day trips from here, Koh phi phi, Koh lanta (super duper family friendly) Thai people are very kids friendly so wherever you go you’ll be fine! We avoid Phuket because we felt like it’s more  back pack/ party/ grown up scenery and this is not what we were after! You can’t go wrong in Thailand but just be prepared for the heat! 32 degré from 9 am to midnight 😪

Phuket is crowded and awful. Get out and go to places like Khao Lak, 90 mins north in a car
