Is this a big upgrade to the LG C1?
    Lizergamid's avatar
    Significant

I thought all the LG oled TVs come with gallery.
    usm_'s avatar
Most LG OLED TVs do have art gallery mode but I think the reason why G1, G2 and G3 consider to be “gallery edition” is because they have fully flushed wall mount. Which is meant to give that “gallery” look to it.

G4 which is this year model coming out soon, it’s 55 and 65 inch versions come with stand and not wall mount. The rest of sizes will have same fully flushed wall mount. (edited)

Have OLEDs got passed the screen burn 🔥 issues yet?
    legend86's avatar
I own 3 OLEDs and I am yet to personally see screen burn on an OLED since 2008.
  4. MeneerSmith's avatar
Is there a different version of this or is the gallery edition the only one?

If there is a different version, which is better?
    anuruddha's avatar
As I know they used G for the gallery.

Any suggestion for a good Tv stand?

all OLED tvs are terrible because 120 hz is terrible

currently you can get an 240 hz OLED for 600
the 360 hz QD-OLED gaming monitor for 800
    anuruddha's avatar
    Where and how?

That isn't true. Most companies that I have services from haven't done that and or have repatriated their call centres back to the UK. I always check to see where their call centres are before I purchase a service or major product from them. However, LG only made this move last year. John Lewis has moved their call centres overseas also - again another disgrace and made this move last year. And yes you do need to worry.

I value excellent customer service and believe you don't get that from overseas customer service.

Personally I'd rather save now than have to rely on a later claim. Brilliant price OP, very tempting.

Paid £1100 for C3 3 months ago, but that's ok, really enjoying the picture quality, 4k movies and PS5 games.
    Leonh's avatar
Me too although I think it’s really bad at upscaling older content that’s my only issue.

I have the LG E9 55 inch, which is a fantastic TV. However, I don't think I would buy another LG product because they have now moved their call centres from the UK to the Phillipines and it is a complete disgrace and customer service is now horrendous. Anything goes wrong, you have a huge problem.
    anuruddha's avatar
It is not just only LG. Most Uk companies had moved their call centres to different countries. Specially India. I know it is still a hassle. But still they working for the same company in Uk and you don't need to worry much.

EE store have a customer return for £768 (potentially less if Easter codes still valid)

    How much did you pay?
  19. Mattyclul's avatar
A bit strange that buying direct from LG doesn't qualify for the MasterCard!
  20. xp3200's avatar
gone up £100 👎 it's now £1048 after the discount (edited)
    immortan4jo's avatar
but you probably can claim the £100 mastercard now that the price is over £1000
  21. anuruddha's avatar
Thank I just ordered it for £1,048.00. it is far betetr than previous LG deal.
  22. DoctorMesmer's avatar
Great deal. Might have gone for this had I not got the G2 for £783 recently.

PS Can anyone recommend a good tutorial on optimising picture settings?
    anuruddha's avatar
May be you can return it and get this instead. I cancelled my C3 order from LG and ordered this.
  23. Martini's avatar
Just got the C3 for £891 and playing UHD from the BBC iPlayer is stunning. The reflections of sunlight off the water are dazzling. I wouldn't want it any brighter to be honest and the swivel stand on the C36 suits my needs. Playback of music and films from my server by Plex is flawless. Connecting to my Sonos Playbase took a bit of working out as there is no HDMI but I'm now up and running and the TV remote works the Sonos via the infrared blaster. (edited)

    What deal is that?
  24. trevor_Hodgkinson's avatar
Trying to get rid old stock before the g4 drop,s at end of April
    daver77's avatar
True, but this is very cheap. I bought a 55" G2 in April last year for £1250, £300 more than this (at the original price of £948), and that was considered cheap at the time. (edited)
  25. Paul.Shepherd's avatar
Red hot. Bought. I was expecting to be waiting til Christmas for this to go below £1k
    anuruddha's avatar
Me too. This is a real bargain. Master card holders have the real deal here. But I don't have a mastercard but still price is unbelievable. (edited)
  26. scottishpunter's avatar
Anywhere selling stands?  Don’t seem the easiest to find. (edited)
    anuruddha's avatar
I'm looking for a stand too. LG original price for the stand is ridiculous.
  27. krishbish's avatar
Excellent deal! Shame I missed out on the 65"
  28. TN567's avatar
Has anyone put one of these on the wall with a different bracket etc??? Can't be bothered removing bracket etc off the wall
    senwar's avatar
I've got my 65" wall mounted with a Sanus bracket - have used it for my last 3 TVs
  29. senwar's avatar
Bought the 65" bundle (GX soundbar) last month and its fantastic. I bought the UR80 55" for the bedroom (didn't need anything too special) and the picture quality is night and day so may now buy this as the quality of the G3 is unreal
    Fareed_Patel5N5's avatar
Compared to what though? I have the G2 atm for half the price. Would it be worth upgrading?
  30. mooooof's avatar
Bought a 55” C2 about 18 months ago but really tempted by this 🙈
