FAQs

It sounds too good to be true, are there any hidden costs?

  • As you might expect, you’re not the first person to question how we operate a viable business model by paying people to shop.
  • Let’s set your mind at rest. First we can guarantee there are no hidden costs associated with signing up to Quidco.
  • To pay the bills, we operate a two-tier membership. Our basic membership is completely free to use and is funded by sponsored advertising paid for by our retailers. We also offer a higher tier of membership, Quidco Premium, which includes extra features in exchange for £1 of your monthly cashback earnings when you're actively purchasing through Quidco.*
  • *Your Premium account will be considered inactive if you have not made a transaction for 30 days. You will continue to be a Premium member and your account will be free from monthly retention fees.

Can I browse offers before I sign up?

  • Certainly, in fact we actively encourage a good browse. With over 5,000 retailers to choose from across a broad range of popular categories we’re certain you’ll find an offer or two that’ll take your fancy.
  • You can check out our hottest offers and all our various categories via the browse button. Alternatively, if you already know where you want to shop or what you want to buy simply type the name of the retailer or product in the search bar at the top of the page or visit the browse page.

Is it safe and secure?

  • Yes. To ensure your personal information is secure, Quidco uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) 128-bit encryption, which guarantees maximum security.
  • As further evidence of our credentials we were voted the UK’s best cashback site at the 2012 and 2013 Consumer Moneyfacts awards and our Quidco Compare service is regulated and authorised by the FCA, a statutory body set up under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA).

How much money can I earn?

  • There are no limits. Your cashback earning possibilities are endless. It goes without saying that the more you spend the more you can earn. On average our active members earn £280 each per year.

How do I get paid my cashback?

  • Once you’ve made a purchase we’ll track the amount of cashback you’re due and send a confirmation email. It will also show as 'Tracked' on your personalised homepage. Once the retailer confirms your purchase, your cashback will be paid into your Quidco account. As the money flows in, you can transfer it to your bank account, PayPal account or have it paid as an Amazon.co.uk Gift Card. Payments are either made automatically on a weekly basis, or alternatively on request.

I took advantage of this deal: hotukdeals.com/dea…585 back in early December and I'm still waiting for them to pay me. I then realised why I stopped using them in 2014 and switched to TCB, really unimpressed.

Still waiting on cashback from a boots purchase in September, it's all tracked just not payable, but they are keen to take their £5

Never get all this rubbish slagging them off, 2.5k that's the free money I've had from Quidco over the years. I never sit there waiting for it you get it when you get it, and if you don't so what it's not guaranteed and I only use it for things I was buying anyway.

Me too... had a few annoying experiences like Samsung £100 bonus and cashback being declined when it was valid, but overall it's been OK... I use tcb now though generally as they are a bit more reliable.

I disagree with some of the ah well if you get it you get it comments, i have stopped using quidco after several cashbacks declined for ridiculous reasons like them saying i must have had 2 browsers open when i didnt! Its never clear if there is only so many deals available and you can spend quite a bit of money to say get an alleged £25 cash back which 'could' make you choose a retailer you normally wouldnt have to then get declined, its not good enough really and im not simply moaning ive had this several times, advice is only go for any quidco offer if you were going to choose that retailer in the first place.

Had a similar deal with topcashback in December where they would pay you £30 if you spent £5. I went through topgiftcards and I got paid my £30 the day after that. Will it be the same here or will I have to wait a long time?
    JayJey's avatar
With Quidco, you have to wait a considerably longer time for them to payout. This is one of the reasons why I switched to TCB as they pay out significantly faster. Amongst that, TCB also have much better cashback rates and also are much more reliable with tracking. (edited)

We have used Quidco for years and have had over £500 cash back during that time, sometimes it takes months to come through but as it’s “free money” it’s a bonus when it’s ready to withdraw.

Use topcashback instead and save yourself the hassle of having to deal with the terrible customer service who take months to reply. "Bonus" cashback never tracks and they never pay out if you claim for it.
