    Any idea how much the refills cost for these 3d printers and how much you get out of them. Always curious about these but don't want to be buying a machine only to find that keeping it going is unsustainable, bit like buying a Gillette razor to be stung by the price of the blades later.

    a 1kg spool ranges from £8-£35 depending on the brand/material/bulk quantity. But realistically you'll probably just pick up a PLA spool when you need it for £15-£20.

    How long they last depends on what you print. Have a look on makerworld.com/ and the weight of each model will be listed. Bear in mind you will use more though as calibrations, test prints, failed prints etc all add up.

    Also if you do multicolour prints (this Anker printer can't do them) then the wasted/purged filament really racks up to the point you may produce more waste than is in the model itself.
