Einhell 4257992 240V SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Drill

If you are looking to tackle some heavy-duty home renovations, this SDS Plus hammer drill is ideal. In particular it will prove useful for breaking up driveways, landscaping work in the garden and knocking through walls for installation work. With four functions to choose from, which can be switched between easily via the rotary switch, it will allow you to tackle a variety of jobs.

For instance, the impact drilling function will give you a maximum drilling power of 20mm into concrete for breaking up masonry. To ensure a longer service life the overload slipping clutch protects the rotary hammer from damage if it becomes jammed or if it is overloaded. For user friendliness the trigger is equipped with a speed control, so you can work to your preference, and the depth stop allows you to set the desired drilling depth with ease. So you can get to work right away this SDS drill is supplied with three drill bits and a flat chisel.

I already have a slightly larger one, don't think it has a clutch so ordered this one as well. for £30 I'll feel happier about it when I next need to core drill.

Can't beat that for a chisel drill, would be handy as a cement mixer

I bought this recently. I used it to chisel plaster off a wall which it did with ease. I then used it to break up cement from under my patio and I did manage to get the job done. However, by the end of the job it is fair to say that the drill was knackered. So, I would say it is a good drill, but not very durable and not for heavy duty tasks.

Just return the drill if it was knackered.

It will have a UK plug. Read reviews on their website. No mention of it not being which I'm sure it would have been mentioned if didn't.

So im after drilling wooden posts onto my concrete posts to attach my gate. Would this be good for drilling into the concrete post or a normal drill??? Thanks

You'd probably get away with using a standard hammer drill imo. If you don't have one of those you'll definitely do it with this and about the same price.

Would this be better than a standard combi drill for drilling into brick wall and attaching stud timber

Most definitely. Would be like a hot knife through butter in comparison.
