Anyone know what this is like for reading newspapers? I have a digital subscription and prefer e-ink to an LCD screen for reading. I also do the puzzles.

Like reading a news paper but you have to charge it and read it an 1/8 of the size of the size of a proper newspaper!

Have just looked at the newspapers in the Kindle store. They have been shredded. You used to be able to subscribe to the main UK newspapers and many European ones too usually for about £10 a month each. you did not have to subscribe for longer than a month so could swap and change. Now there is the Independent and The Evening Standard. That's it. The only way it's worth your while is if those are the papers you want. The periodicals included with Prime have also been scaled back there is not the same choice.
This is a deal breaker for me for this device. Newspapers now are so much cheaper digitally and you can read them on a tablet online or via their own app. Bit of a wake up call this.
