sorted byShe'll need to do short video editing and mostly running her website / making content. I'm assuming the 8GB RAM should be able to deal with that fine? Would appreciate advice from anyone "in the know" 😁

Scandalous and hope the EU fines them for it.
However, for my use case (DAW with lots of VST / VSTi / audio tracks running) 8Gb simply isn't going to be enough, no matter how clever Apple are with memory management. I have single VST instruments that will consume most of that and I need multiple open at the same time with minimum latency.
The price bump to get to 16Gb always seems excessive... and all the good deals seem to be for 8Gb models.
