Voted hot, but is 4gb of ram enough to run this without issues...?

Might struggle with multiple apps open.

Good spot this Sunday morning and much heat. Here is my experience with 4gb ram phones. I have had two 5G Redmis with 4gb ram and OPPO A94 5G with 8gb ram in the past. Recently I have acquired Motorola G34 to play with eSim functionality, again with 4gb ram.
In my limited experience, I have found little or no difference between the OPPO with 8gb ram and the rest for day to day use.
Here I have mentioned 4gb ram because that is what seems to be under discussion and not taken into account other specifications such as processors, display etc for respective phones.
Present deal is at great favourable price for what it is 🔥 (edited)

Again it you can not tell the difference between 4 and 8 GB of performance wise you are really in no position to advice anyone on what phone to use.

And yes everyone knows you are not an expert.

Is it worth it ? £109 for 4g ram nowadays? Anyone have this phone can give some feedback pls. Thank you everyone.

I have this phone as a media player / backup device. It is fine on 4gb for basic use. Any heavy gaming or significant multi-tasking I'd forget about. As usual, it depends on your usage pattern and what you expect for a new phone for around £100. I'm happy enough with it for what I need it for (and it has a reaonable camera for the money imo)

    Nice deal op.🔥

I'm now waiting for the storytellers to roll in.

My 4gb Miui refreshes pages, oh but 4gb phone is great it fast and has ram expansion, but new phone is stock Android with 12gb of ram.
All this from a first time poster, he clearly does not own the phone the SD685/ Ram expansion are anything but fast/ great.

I've just had my first Xiaomi 13T Pro phone a few days ago. Had it great deal for £490 odd. Cracking phone well impressed so far for the price and specs of it. Great camera, and battery. 120w fast charge, 0-100 in around 18 or so minutes. My first 5G phone, upgrading from my 4 half years Huawei P30 Pro, which is still going as if it's new.

I bought a Huawei 4 gig ram phone 5 years ago, I'm just surprised 6 gig isn't bulk standard by now.

Worth it for the screen alone, good deal

Without a doubt, unless you prefer a 90Hz LCD. (edited)

Good phone at a super price for the light users. The only issue here is the ram and no matter what the uneducated say you will buy another phone much sooner if you have the 4gb model as opposed to a 6/8gb.
Buy according to how long you want to keep the phone and not the thread filling comments by an individual. The longer you want to keep the device the more ram you will need to keep it running smoothly.

I've had my 4gb ram phone for 1 and a half years yet it still runs smoothly and have no intention to replace it in the foreseeable future

    Heat op.

    A 4 gen 1 too.

Turn the 5g off, if you are in a rubbish reception area to increase your battery life and Njoy a 120hz Amoled at LCD money.

Your deal seems to have had a crash diet.

Yeah recently got this on a deal ...better camera and technically a better screen..and newer os..which I'm not that big a fan of... but I've found it not as good as my note 9t to be honest ....which has a slightly faster processor and a slightly bigger battery (edited)

Literally just ordered two RealMe GT Neo 6 SE 5G Smartphones at £256 each (plus tax) and then saw this. Wondering if I made a mistake now.
    innocent's avatar
No mistake as such but no OTA for the said Realme as per comment in the other thread.
If at all possible to cancel your order, I would go for this because of possible Upgrades, buying locally and saving considerable amount of money if the phones are going to be for general day to day use.
But I should read other people's comments if they care to as my contributions on HUKD are regarded by some as shaky if not downright suspect.

Am I right in thinking Xiaomi phones have some sort of ram boost makes it better than most 4gb phones
    DopeyDunker's avatar
I think most xiaomi phones have memory extension, certainly the lower-end models. This model has off/1/2/4gb options. To be honest I'm not convinced about it's usefulness. I've turned it off and noticed no difference, but in fairness I am not using the phone as my main phone so maybe I'm not the best judge of it's effectiveness. (edited)

I have the 10 5g which has been fine but the camera is absolutely rubbish in low light and when you want to zoom. Also sound volume when got earphones in isn't loud enough to hear over traffic noise when runnin.. Any ideas if this is any better.

Camera is not an improvement on RN 10 5G. No idea about the headphone volume as I had upgraded my wifes phone when I came across a great deal and sold her RN 12 5G.

10 pro is still overall better but at this price might still be worth it
