As a society surely we should have moved beyond "sports" like these by now. (edited)

Yes because it would be cruel to let the horse breeds die out. their entire purpose in life is to race. Bred into them over hundreds or maybe thousands of years.

It’s also cruel I suppose to give them the best possible food, water, medical care & everything in between.

But no. Let’s get rid of it because it upsets people. Boo hoo. Society is falling on its backside as it is. (edited)

Attended Newmarket yesterday on a similar promo that was posted on this platform. Cracking day out and glad there is more northern venues for this promotion.

Out of interest, if say doors open at 1230 then how long is the actual "event"? Just seeing if this fits around schools runs etc

Hopefully a sign that horse racing is dying.

Won’t happen as the bookies make billions and can subsidise the tracks via sponsorship.

    Would need to ban gambling

Cheers OP, got a couple of tickets for Carlisle. Don't know if I'll use them personally but I know plenty of people who will take them off my hands.

The last time a deal or discussion involving horse racing someone said that it is cruel & that "horses don't run in the wild".

Hot by the way but none close enough to me.
