I've had the 1GB for about 18 months now. Started around 500mb/600mb for both upload and download.

Just done a speedtest and got 156/273.

I pay 20+2 pm inc phone. Suppose even though its never been as advertised it's OK for the money.

mine is 150MB up and down, and never gone below this. If you are getting lower speed, it is worth checking your connections, try different cables too. Best way to check is to connect your computer to the router directly with a LAN cable.

I have no personal experience of HyperOptic, but always heard good things and this seems a great deal if you are in an available property.

But I did want to give a massive RECOMMENDED to CommunityFibre
I've had there 150 Mpbs for 3 years and it's been fast and faultless!!

This deal pops up every once in a while and it is a good considering what it offers. Others like Virgin charges a fortune. However it is still cold for me because it is very limited. It has been years and they hardly expand nationwide.

My previous deal is coming to an end in early September. Would I be able to switch to this as a current customer?

I doubt it as it’s a crazy deal (I’m certain it’s new customers only). However, I have read people getting a good/ similar deal by speaking to retentions.
As always with contracts the best offers usually come after you threaten to leave- or you actually do leave and they will start calling back with better offers (not so bad with e.g. TV subscriptions but I wonder it would be very inconvenient not having broadband for a while unless you can live off mobile broadband)!

Basically call them up and see what they offer

Just expect to pay at least double after 12 months.

In London if you have strong 5G signal Three network 5G router works great you can install external antenna for faster speeds.

so double after 12 months but still better than BT AND VM02 price and speed???

just get a new contract which i very much doubt at double the price and Three as you main broadband are you a three user of this service? i am and its just a stop gap till CFL do my block not something i would recommend unless you live near a cell tower and tested it to a point you know you will always get good reception at peak times let alone all other times.

Honestly, this is a great deal. I am on their 150 mb plan for £20 a month and this one allows 1 gbps for £18 for first 12 months.

I wonder if I can ask them for the price match

    Gigantic is the best

Was expecting 3 referral vouchers from them, and contacted multiple times and never arrived.
So customer service isn't great in resolving issues

This is a cracking deal, my area here in Glasgow is on 'work in progress number 2' as recently city fibre put the optical fibre into the building with the little box above our front doors.....so just waiting for it all to go live so i can grab a deal like this.

Does it cover the whole of London?
  13. g00ner82's avatar
    It’s never in our area

Not available to me and I'm changing supplier this month so just wondering, who is next cheapest in the Surrey area at the mo?

Currently paying £30p/m for 500mb which ends soon, in the last month of contract. Hope they can match or come close to these deals.

Very good speeds, I consistently get around 550 down 600 up with hyperoptic (edited)
