sorted byThis does the job really easily and well as it saves the faff of transformers, wireless control units for Alexa and fiddly joints and mounting brackets.
I ended up buying 2 of these and 4 of the 1m extensions which came with connectors and I was pleasantly surprised that when I got to the end of the alcove (went up from one side along the top and back down the other) where I needed it to finish on both alcoves we're perfectly positioned the cut points so got lights all the way round as the cut points are little spaced out.
That said, the adhesive stuff is annoying, you try peel the white protector off and sometimes it drags the double sided tape with it. I hope it sticks on as with the lights being on a little while, it did run warm.
The app and various scenes are really cool and got it working with Alexa in no time.
1. Surely having these plugged into an outside socket means if the weather is bad this could trip the socket and hence your whole house?
2. Someone could presumably nick them - more of an issue at the front of your house, and I suppose depends where you live!
Keen to know people's views on the first point though.. It looks more the sort of thin you'd have always plugged in, as oppose to occasionally, like say a pressure washer etc
