Surely it’s cheaper buying the 8 pack than buying 2x 4 pack

    The 1 x 8pack is £6.39

Youre right, thats the one I just bought, plus you get a storage case for them too! In fact the more batteries you buy the cheaper they are 😁

I've bought these before and they are useless. About half of the pack I got wouldn't recharge.

I have EBL batteries, they have been terrible. They dont hold charge when stored. I have had several duds.

These ones are bad but the multi coloured ones I have started binning with only one or two charges.

I'm going to give the Amazon Basics High Capacity a go after seeing this:

Honestly these things are junk. I've had loads of rechargeable batteries and these have been some of the worst. Most are only recharging to half capacity after only 12 months. Amazon Basics seem promising. IKEA ladda have been very reliable for me but some of the best have been duracel. Even after 3/4 years they're still charging to full capacity.

Bought an EBL battery capacity tester, strangely enough all the EBL batteries were 10-20% less than stated, lol.
Amazon branded ones seem to be the best for the price.

I normally buy the HiQuick 2800mAh - much larger capacity and only a few quid more. Have bought a few over the years and they've been great.

Edit didn't see OP's were AAA. HiQuick 1100mAh same price virtually (edited)

They're garbage. I got them for my remote controls. I have had to charge them 3 times within a year for my tv remote. They take ages to charge.

I thought id through out the batteries that came with it. Have all rechargeable batteries for cheapness. The original non brand batteries worked for 3 years without a problem.

    They're worse than poundland batteries

I've been using EBL batteries for the past 3 years. Have 70 of their AAs and 50 AAAs. Charges last a good time and never had a dead battery. Use in everything. Kid's toys, xbox controllers, remote controls, Christmas decorations etc

To be fair the Eneloops x 8 pack I bought for DECT phones (light use) were pathetic too. I'm pretty sure they were originals but was shocked at how many of them went flat so quickly. Can anyone recommend a decent brand ?

I am finding similar problems to others here, some of mine already are down to abot 60 to 70% capacity after a short time.

Thanks for post - very reasonable for an aaa battery
I have recently bought 16 of the EBL 2800mAhr AA and ran a full analysis on a Powerex ch9000 which charges to full then discharges to empty. Consistently reporting back 2080-2100 mAhr capacity.I realise new batteries increase in capacity over the first few cycles but seems a bit low from the start

At least they weren't dead on arrival, like most of mine....and their replacements.

The thing I've found with rechargeable aaa batteries is that they are all 1.2v whereas the things that take aaa batteries all require 1.5v to work properly. Take my virgin media remote for example. I put 2x fully charged aaa batteries in the remote a week ago and I'm already getting a warning popping up on my TV saying the batteries in my remote are running low. Never have any issues with aa batteries as they are all 1.5v
