I don't really know anything about this procedure. My 16 year old Focus has never had a " Regas " in it's life ( 79.000 miles ) as far as I know. The aircon currently works ok but there is a fairly noisy abnormal whine when the aircon is running. This abnormal noise has been present for the last 4 years that I have owned the car and has never got any worse. From previous vehicles I've owned, I know there is normally a slight noise/whine from an aircon pump when running but the noise I have isn't normal. The question is, is it likely I need a " regas " to cure the problem?

If the aircon is working ok as you put it, then you should be getting nice freezing cold air when it's on. You don't need a regas in that case. The whining noise probably means the motor is going, or at least needs servicing. It might just be a lubrication issue. An aircon service is what you need, rather than a regas.

Kwik trik said i needed new tyres and wanted to sell the expensive tyres.

Halfrauds said they would need to refurbish the gear box can take week at cost of £700+

Good thing I went to another crew for 2nd opinion

    lolwut?

They didn't see 2 pen sized holes in the front of my condenser and "assured me that they did do the legally required pressure test first" without being able to look me in the eye...

They're that incompetant that they refunded me the full £55 cost and not the £25 sale price I paid for.....
...it's almost worth going there for that, except they'd do the regas and knacker the gearbox and timing change while the bonnet was up...
