I have this set and its a piece of ****. The precision bits are oddly chrome plated and not sharp enough for small screws.

For tiny precision jobs, the Xiaomi Mijia screwdrivers from Aliexpress are great.

For slightly heavier jobs, as long as you don’t mind something a bit more like a socket set, the Fatmax mini socket set is indestructible and very versatile.

Bought this. Sent it back. Metal is very poor quality, rounded the head off just making a wardrobe. Amazon refunded without issue.

Iv had this for two years. It's garbage, it rounded some T8 screws on an Xbox once and has never been used again. Bits are not correctly sized.

Isn't this standard price? It's not marked down.

I bought these at their cheapest price, only used it to build a PC, was good enough for that job...

I have this. Not used much. Bits do seem a bit soft but fine overall for the money IMO. Case seems a bit flimsy. (edited)

bought exact same set from ebay for less than a tenner a few weeks ago...its pretty crappy tbh

Bought this for £9.88 in December 2021. Used it for the first time last week to put a small chest drawer together. Worked well for my use but going by others feedback I won’t be using it for any heavier use or on anything valuable

Has been under £9 at one point apparently (Feb2022 twitter.com/ign…505), but this is still a good price for a very handy set of precision tools, voted hot!

Bought this for just over £8 last year, great for odd bits around the house, building a PC etc. Won't last if you're a tradesperson as naturally the quality isn't that high - as you'd expect for the price..

Remember when Amazon Basics used to be quality imitations of cheap goods, and not literally the same cheap goods renamed Amazon Basics.

The reason some are chrome and some aren't is becuase the garbage-tier sellers will group random sets together because it's cheaper and being able to say they have the highest number of bits for the money is more important than what the bits actually are.

One of the sets I have they put a few leftover duplicates in a little compartment at the side, because that's more bits. Ironically that set is still much better than the one I got at Screwfix. (edited)

Don't let the bits get wet they rust I think.

So....how many pieces are magnetic and how many aren't?
  19. Kookie91's avatar
I don't understand, isn't this the standard price? No discount or anything?
  20. Fawzi_M's avatar
One of the bits broke easily, first use. Some bits seem to be higher quality that others for some reason. Also no warranty so couldn’t return. But for the price it is alright.

Get an iFixit or some other kit, Pardarsey

Anyone got any recommendations for a set with a lot more of the socket bits that can fit a electric screwdriver?
  23. xxbluedragonxx's avatar
Ok for light use but I’d not trust it when stronger force required
  24. CheapSuitCharlie's avatar
Pretty sure I paid about half that price for the same one, from a well known auction website

Handy if you lose your ring doorbell screwdriver thingy (edited)

Great for building Meccano sets but not good for anything else!

Why is it going so hot? Is it that good of a deal and set?
