Or pour alittle rapeseed oil onto half of that A4 (non-glossy) bit of paper your going to shred, fold over to apply to the rest of the sheet, open out and feed it into the shredder. works out much cheaper, and not messy.

Wouldn't shredding Tin Foil aid the sharpening of the shredders teeth also

I've sprayed some WD40 sparingly on a few metres of tin foil. It seems to have worked!

    Nice one.

Heat added - it's a good idea to use something like this each time you empty the paper drawer once it's filled up to extend the life of your shredder. I use the swordfish shredder oil and use that with normal a4 paper. Costs £6.35 and will last a lot longer than this pack of 12. Don't use wd40. It will mean paper debris more likely to stick to blades over time and make cutting worse. Same reason why you should never use wd40 on locks. Over time it will end up getting gunked up (edited)

These are small A5 sized sheets, so don't seem very good value.

How does recycled paper and vegetable oil sharpen the blades exactly?

it doesn't, it does remove the debris and lubricates the blades making them more efficient at cutting.
