I purchased the 55” Hisense U7H for £474 yesterday. I’m pretty clueless when it comes to TV comparisons so hope it’s worth the extra £25 😳

sorted by- The Hisense you bought is 120Hz panel and has VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) so it's ideal for PS5 and Xbox Series X console gaming. I believe both TVs have local dimming, although they won't have many zones, but every little helps. The Amazon Fire TV may have slightly better overall PQ (Picture Quality) due to being QLED rather than ULED (ULED is difficult to quantify as it encompasses a range of 20 unrelated technologies in terms of PQ)
Overall I think the Hisense edges it. - 129 quid pleaseAuthorcomparing apples and oranges with this and that
- Could have got 4x 43 Toshibas approx price of this
...then it's apples and melonsAuthorcould have had 45 moto G22 phones from john lewis but then its apples and BANANAS! - Nah, not £129...Author55 inch for 129 is there? I bought that TV, in fact bought both the tosh and the fire.
- Correction, 119.99 not 129.99 😁
- Warning to all, this is not a slim TV! I almost bought the 43" version of this yesterday as at £299 for a QLED TV it's a bit of a bargain. The thing that put me off though was the thickness. It's incredibly chunky compared to the likes of Samsung/LG etc. The 43" was 8.5cm thick, compared to the 2.5cm of the Samsung q60c (which is what I ended up getting - yes I paid £449, which is obviously significantly more, but it's going to be wall mounted in the bedroom so didn't want anything too chunky). So if you can live with the thickness then this is a good deal. (edited)Thanks for this. I was waiting on the 43" being delivered today but I have already started a return for it, 8.5cm is crazy thick and not suitable for what I need.
- £749 now...
