Yes it's an Apple deal, but this is cheaper than I can get it with the Apple Student Discount price that is £1289.00.

Now slightly cheaper then when it was posted previously here.

Therefore, I thought it was worth posting.

Spec:

  • SUPERCHARGED BY M2 PRO — M2 Pro brings power to take on demanding projects. Its up to 12-core CPU makes pro workflows fly, and the up to 19-core GPU provides next-level graphics performance. It can be configured with up to 32GB of unified memory.
  • CONNECT WHAT YOU WANT — Mac mini with the M2 Pro chip has four Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Gigabit Ethernet and a headphone jack. And if you want faster networking speeds, you can configure Mac mini with 10Gb Ethernet for up to 10 times the throughput.
  • SIMPLY COMPATIBLE — All your go-to apps run lightning-fast on your Mac mini, from Microsoft 365 to Adobe Creative Cloud to Zoom. And over 15,000 apps and plug-ins are optimised for M2 Pro.
  • EFFICIENT MEMORY — Unified memory on Mac does more than traditional RAM. A single pool of high-bandwidth, low-latency memory allows Apple silicon to move data fast — so everything you do is fluid. Choose up to 32GB memory with M2 Pro. More memory means easier multitasking and handling of large files.
  • FAST SSD STORAGE — Mac mini comes with all-flash storage for all your photo and video libraries, files and apps. Choose up to a whopping 8TB SSD with M2 Pro.
  • KEEP IT SAFE AND SECURE — M2 Pro and macOS Ventura give Mac mini industry-leading privacy and security features, including built-in protections against malware and viruses. And the next-generation Secure Enclave helps keep your system and data protected.
  • MAC MINI DOES THAT — Mac mini with M2 Pro crushes compute-intensive tasks, from editing massive images and 8K ProRes video to 3D modelling.
  • EASY TO USE — Getting set up is simple, and Apple ID makes it easy for you to switch to Mac. So you can get going, straight out of the box.
  • ADD A DISPLAY AND ACCESSORIES — Pair Mac mini with Apple Studio Display. Connect Apple accessories like Magic Keyboard with Touch ID or your favourite compatible accessories.

Plus- it's power efficient in the most meaningless way for 99.999% of all people with a need for a powerful computer.

Minus- everything else. People buy these things for meaningless brand reasons only- in ignorance of everything Apple does wrong, and every restriction Apple places on useful computing.

In Job's day, Apple would have been all over LLM (like ChatGPT). No aspect of this device can touch a modern AI workload. It is a mega-expensive toy that cannot game, cannot render (usefully), cannot do complex hi-end video, or AI. Most users will use it to do no more than could be achieved on a 50 dollar SoC slapped onto a cheap mobile circuit board. The Apple Cult indeed.

To type so much for no reason, in a deal you care nothing about. Slow day?

Seems ridiculous the storage, should be atleast 1TB (edited)

Apple have been ripping off the world's most gullible population for years and will continue to do so with their unexplainable cultish support. Their smug "we do it differently so it's better" approach is wearing really thin now.

Such a small and powerful device, in such a big case. Hilarious

get it on the latest software with open core legacy patcher. We have 2 MacBook Pros ( 2011 early C2D and late i5 ) both running OS13.5 Ventura and pretty darn well too.
