£8 is a fair enough price anyway, but you can whip another 80p off that using code WELCOME

There is a different one with a wooden handle at the same price, but I think the one highlited as the main deal looks a better buy.

As per usual, delivery is free

Bought same thing from Milletts when on offer the other week, so far used it twice and been successful both times, using normal Wilko firefighters and B&M lumpwood charcoal. Great for new people to charcoal, like me

Back in the day 40 years ago my dad used to buy wholesale large cans of kalimata olives which came in a large 4ltr tin and once he decanted the olives he would then open the other end and use the tin tube to get our BBQ coal lit... would last around 4 burns before a new tin would be commissioned (edited)

How much charcoal can you get in these? Enough for a 55cm bbq?

yes easily. I have two barbecues, one of them is 57cm (Weber) and this works fine for that. If you are expecting a meat feast, as in a round of burgers, chops and sausage, you would probably need 2 full rounds of this. If I have more than me and my partner, I get the big BBQ out (80cm x42cm) cooking area) and need 2 rounds of this for a nice bed of coals.

With these I've learnt that spending a bit more is worth it as the product lasts a lot longer. The Weber ones can be picked up for around £20 sometimes and are excellent quality.

Would recommend checking the Looftlighter (Amazon) if anyone’s using to start large BBQs, game changer wish I had it sooner

I've had the LIDL version for many years.
Newspaper rolled into a donut and placed underneath is enough to get these going.
Alternatively two of those natural firelighters will also do the job nicely.
Be aware that these can be very smokey until most of the charcoal has been lit.

Great deal. These work just as good as the more expensive ones. They will rust quicker but I've had a cheap rusted one for 4 years and still going grand
