Android 11 is end of life as it's no longer receiving security updates:

Luckily this does have Android 13 available, released in December 2023, so this will be good for a few more years to come.

Avoid this phone if possible, the fingerprint sensor will fail and over time the power button will fail too! At least my experience with it... Shame because it's a decent phone otherwise.

If you're happy to use tap to wake you can get a nice cheap phone (from eBay rather than a new one). Getting it turned on in the first place is easy too, if a little more time consuming. Hold volume up while plugging in a charging cable and it'll go to recovery. Just leave it for a minute or two and it'll reboot. Be ready to login before it sleeps the screen, then go and set tap to wake (by going to settings and searching for that).

It's easy to fix the button, but I realise not everyone would be down for trying that sort of thing. (edited)

Was this the one with a power button issue?

It certainly is. I buy these to sell on after fixing the button. It's super easy to do if you have any general tinkering skills.

OOS anyway now. I know not really comparable, but I bought the 12 this morning from Amazon for £365 (reduced from £400), I had the mi 11 which was a great phone, but for not so much more this way you get a lot more back (compared to the 13 which is almost double)..and 14 is just off the scale.

Does anyone know if this phone is likely to get miui15/hyperos?
