    Really nice, very similar to Guiness, doesn't taste like Guiness when you just drink it but similar in a stew/casserole (edited)

    I had this for the first time last week. It isn't as bad as I've previous seen mentioned on here. I would say it's BETTER than modern day Guinness (since thats as flat as a fart) but NO where close to older Guinness from 10-15 years ago as that was thicker and tastier.

    The problem with reviews on this is that it is inevitably going to be compared to Guinness (and Brewdog have firmly set themselves up for that by design) and a lot of people that drink Guinness are really into it, to the point that their personality is just Guinness. They will tell you that any stout that isn't Guinness is just rubbish and a pretender to the thrown whereas someone that approaches it with more of an open mind will enjoy this stout. Personally I think it is excellent and I would choose it over Guinness all things being equal but to each his own as they say!

    I bought this from Tesco a couple of weeks ago (4 for £4 then so not bad). As a Guinness drinker I was pleasantly surprised. Will check out local Tesco tomorrow. Thanks OP

    I prefer this to canned Guinness, I think it even gives draft Guinness a run for its money.

    Heat added , I picked up 8 the other day on the 4 for £4 deal and liked them a tad lighter than Guinness I would say , I prefer Guinness but this is a good alternative and I'd still buy it for a change from the big G
