About this item
  • Go Beyond Air Frying: The air fryer can do more than just fry, it also grills, roasts, toasts, bakes, dehydrates and even reheats. Just choose the preset that’s best for you without needing to set temperature and time, it will handle the rest.
  • Toast It Your Way: With the included toast rack, it's easy to toast thin or thick slices of just about anything, delivering delicious, evenly-shaded slices. Everything from breakfast to dessert all in one fry basket that easily replaces your toaster, broiler oven and more.
  • ViewCook Window: Features the viewing window in the front of the basket, together with the internal light, it allows you to keep an eye on what was cooking - without opening the basket and letting heat escape.
  • Maximum Crisp, Minimum Guilt: Thanks to the 360° rapid air circulation technology, you can have 100% taste satisfaction with crispy on the outside and tender on the inside results, with up to 90% less oil and saving 80% energy bill.
  • 5L Family Sized, Yet Compact: The Air Fryer comes with a large 5L basket, but is 30% more compact than other brands of the same capacity. Make enough for the whole family with up to 2kg chicken, 1kg chips and more. So you can easily keep it on your kitchen countertop, and use it everyday.4071136_1.jpg

Thought the window might be helpful. Ive only ever cooked completely thawed food and turn it during cooking but still get the occasional charred results. Will stick with my windowless for the time being but will keep an eye on this.

A probe thermometer is a large part of the answer. (I remain delighted with my refurb Thermapen 3 from ETI on eBay.)

You need to dial down about 20c from fan oven settings, and allow enough time for the heat to penetrate.
For thin stuff (French fries are the epitome), you don’t need to dial down much, and it’ll be done in about half the fan oven time.
But for thicker stuff (pies are classic) aim for 80% of the fan oven time, and that requires dialling down at least 20c.
Like I said - external appearance is useless as a guide, but a probe thermometer lets you see inside the food. (edited)

While the toast rack is an interesting novelty, I am of the opinion that the windows are unhelpful - an inner basket would be much better!
The external appearance of air fried food is useless as a guide to internal “doneness”. The heat can be delivered so quickly that the inside is still raw or frozen when the outside is crisp. One needs to tame the beast!
A probe thermometer will tell you if the food is heated through. Looking through a window won’t.
