sorted byThere's No such thing as bad weather or temperatures, just the wrong choice of clothing and equipment..
I. E. this tent would be absolutely fine if your friend chose the correct sleeping bag, clothing and (probably most importantly) sleeping mat for the conditions - kit comes in numerous ratings for temperature etc... You could be sleeping in a top of the range 4 season, tent, but you're still going to freeze if you're in a 1season top of the range sleeping bag (never mind a tesco bag) in typical UK summer conditions.
It’s cheaper than some places are selling the Coleman Octagon carpet for!
