Instead I bought a ugreen enclosure and a crucial 1TB nvme SSD cost me the same in price but the SSD is faster

link? the speedy (10gb/s) ugreen enclosures seem to be £25+

No point having a speedy SSD if the transfer rate is usb 3.0

I'm using the 2TB X8 as a boot drive for my 27" iMac and it has given it a new lease of life. really fast and in turn means my internal fans hardly ever kick in now.

I have an old 2014 Mac that has a failed drive and was wondering how something like this would work as a bootable without opening it up.I am guessing this is what has happened to yourself?
