So what makes the one you suggest getting worth 3 X the price of this one?

It’s a cross laser level with a handy clamp that allows you to clamp to doors, worktops, wall unites ect..... it’s basically 3 x as good

hmm..Laser Beams! ... it all seems like a good idea till it chops your arm off!

order placed, then cancelled as OOS at Slough
even though the website says in stock!!!

Yay, I bought one! What does it do?

Measuring accuracy 3.0mm per metre. OK for some jobs but not really accurate enough to replace a decent spirit level. Heat for the price.

we were quite lucky we had other storm damage and the insurance inspector came out and we got it replaced with one of the much more expensive ones that lasted our kids out, climbing on the roof etc and gave it to the local school for the reception kids to use

We picked one of these up a few weeks ago when posted before.

It was absolutely ditched. Had to unpack, remove slugs and other life forms and wipe down prior loading in the car.

The staff at Loughborough were most unhelpful and simply said it’s clearance.

Once cleaned down and built its worth £30 but is quite flimsy.

Hope my rant helps someone.

Says u posted the pic in previous comment. "Its only funny until someone gets hurt then its frikkin hilarious".. Im sorry whos hurt now? Lol. I was only stating a point,u had to be an arse posting the pic acting like ur smart. Im nice if ur nice. If ur gonna be nasty i'll be nasty too. Have u always used things for the intended purpose in ur entire life? Not even once have u not? If u've already got some vinegar that will remove a stain but doesnt work as well as a detergent, just requires more scrubbing..then why waste money buying detergent when u will achieve the same with vinegar. Ok im stupid for not buying the correct type of ladder when i simply just needed a cheap one and will be putting it away for collecting dust after one or two uses. I can say vinegar's crap for the job, i can say when i stand on top of the loft ladder it feels cheap&wobbly, just like u can call me stupid too. And call anyone that uses vinegar for non cooking related things stupid. Call those who speed in inexpensive cars stupid for not doing it in a lamborghini. Keep judging

Had one of these. Nothing wrong with it except I found the temperature …Had one of these. Nothing wrong with it except I found the temperature differential too much always up and down. You set it at say 20 degrees, temperature will drop to 19.5 before it asks for heat. It then goes up to 20.5 before it cuts off, radiators red hot so temperature still rising...it then drops away to 19.5 before asking for heat again. Its not the end of the world, but you can get some that control to a finer level e.g. tenths of a degree

Can't be helped that is normal, the way thermostats trip on and off.
Its £18.05 on Amazon.. amazon.co.uk/gp/…all
Edited by: "morrig" 10th Oct

Why is this Deal showing up in the Freebies section?.
Edited by: "amour3k" 10th Oct

Had one of these before, they are cheap but a bit of a pain programming and mine packed up after a month, salus did send a free replacement though. Wireless thermostats can be a bit temperamental but cheaper to install, one negative with my salus was it would need reprogramming when you changed the batteries. If you have a mechanical timer fitted you can just swap it out with this version:

amazon.co.uk/Sal…T49

If you can spend a bit more then a smart thermostat is handy, it is possible using sonoff devices on the cheap if you know what you are doing, and has the benefit of being controlled by Alexa or smartphone.

amazon.co.uk/Tem…h16

Personally I would pay the extra and get the RF version. Tring to wire this into a boiler and locate the stat can sometimes be problematic. Just saying
