A fantastic buy here at a penny under £100. If you're looking at the likes of the Meaco 1056p or even the 1056, then this is likely the better choice, given the features it has in comparison.
You do have to be a member to buy at £99.99, but the £15 membership price doesn't break the deal here in my opinion, as it's still a better price than anywhere else with that on top.

Can it really be worth the extra spend, sell the product to me as I need to justify the extra cost to my wife
What this does that the Meaco doesn't
Obviously there are smart features involved with this one, which allow you to add it into your Google or Alexa ecosystem. There's also an app you can use for control, or the included remote. With the Duux, you're able to lower it right down to be suitable for desk / table use as well.
Unique selling point.
You can easily convert it to a wireless model if you buy the dock and battery pack, which I think has an RRP of around £60) It doesn't go on offer all that often, but is also fairly new. Worth watching out of drops if you could use the wireless function)
Cheaper fans get the job done, but if you do have the budget for something like this, I'd recommend it. For me, the smart features wouldn't get used all that much. But everything else is worth the spend, just to be able to circulate that air a bit better and with lower noise output. My Meaco doesn't have smart features and can't be used on a desk either (Well it would work, but It looks mental and is too high, even with the fan tilted down) I paid more than the price of the offer here and mine has less features... I don't regret it, but do have the itch to buy this one too
When you consider many fans sit somewhere around 40-60w on louder brushed motors, both the Duux and the Meaco are nice, more efficient options. (edited)
On the highest setting this cools my room very efficiently. It’s also light enough to move around easily
I did consider getting this as well, but I can't really warrant it.
