- standishmarkMines turned up. Theyres a little plastic lip on the inside that stops it sitting at the bottom. It's a 2 second job with a dremel/knife to remove it and then it fits
michaeljbCan these be used a permanent bluetooth speaker? IE i want to connect a firestick to a computer monitor with no speakers then have this also connected to supply the audio.
allbranI will also confirm your query. You can use the Echo as audio output for Firestick content when its attached to a monitor with no built in speakers. You have to setup in the Alexa app.

but what i think has happen its been open to allow the timed deal, might be an item on amazon that u can buy for X, and it has a promo of getting the dot on top for £6.99, what that item is god knows.
amazon allow time promo when u miss out on a past deal or a new "combo" comes up on a item u bought.
