Think the Amazon deal at the same price has just sold out, but JL has also reduced the price to £44.99 (plus you get the JL 2-year guarantee). Not sure on ink refilling though as appears only official refills available on this model.

I opted for an older printer VS a new ecotank one. The new ones are built to fail and also lock themselves when the sponge that collects excess ink is full. Epson then have to do it themselves and reset it at an insane cost. You can do it yourself with dodgy software but I couldn’t be bothered with the stress. Third party ink for older ones is cheap enough for me and my odd home use. A cheap older model made more sense than a £200 new one (edited)

Get a lazer printer, by the end of the first year you will have made back the difference in ink savings. Bonus for 2nd hand office clearance ones

Agree we bought a small Samsung laser one and it's brilliant only just replaced cartridge after 3 years

It’s for £45 not 45K, although specsavers have buy 1 get 1 free offer on just in case. Thought you might be interested.

Bought. Thanks OP. Don't do much printing so will buy an Epsom subscription which start from £0.99 per month. 30 sheets at £1.99 per month should do me fine.

it states double sided printing but does anyone know if its auto or manual feed for double sided printing?
    Reemmyy's avatar
It must be auto. I've got 3105 and it is auto feed.

This printer is so cheap that you can buy expensive ink with it . I need to invent a cheap sock making machine and then sell expensive cotton.

CISS system with a waste ink tank is what you need if you are doing a large amount of printing on an inkjet. Don't see one for this model but there are plenty available for Epson printers. You will have to reset the waste ink pads from time to time with "software".

What ink do I need to buy for this please?

Is this a true laser printer? Some state laser but in fact have the quality of dot matrix. Thanks

It's not a laser printer, nor does it claim to be one.
