Epson EcoTank 102 Yellow Genuine Ink Bottle £4 on Prime

Does it have a shelf life or expiry date?

(lol) (lol) (lol)

Good find (y) 🏻

Yes, but yellow is usually the colour most printers use the least of, if you have separate cartridges for them. Personally I am happy with my black and white Samsung Laser printer for most things (one of the best deals I got through HUKD, now that prices have doubled or tripled on them) and use Boots etc for the few hard copy photos etc I print

i bought a bundle of these to print off my coldplay tickets, but they were all yellow

If you are a heavy user you can ask them to bung you a couple of extra carts nicely on chat. The cartridges are fairly easy to kill if you print of a bunch pages with a mix of images. It seems carts have shrunk since the hayday of late 90s (lol) remember my dad using a syringe ink refill kit from QVC to fill our printer way back when. That was instant ink, 260ml bottles (y) 🏻 for less than one full price csrtridge.

Works great for me. I rarely print, so am on their free 15 pages per month plan. It sent me a new cartridge way before I needed it. About 3 months ago and I haven't installed it yet...

A lot of people saying that the delivery time on hp instant ink is shocking. Not really "never go without ink"

Don't forget Epson ReadyPrint (y)

When you head clean 12 times to get your black printing right and you red runs out (mad) (mad) (mad) probably used 6 carts worth of ink on head cleaning alone on our old Epson if not more. Praise the lord for hp instant ink and free head cleaning (lol) Trying hp as each cart has a new print head, but alas use instant ink as cheap compatables are not an option.

No problem at all.

Many thanks for that. Appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Hi Splatt66, 1) Is the ADF scanning auto duplex? - No, its only Single-sided scan with ADF. 2) Can you confirm this is rear paper feed? - Yes, 30 pages capacity. More info can be found here -

Can someone help with a couple of questions I can't find answers to; 1) is the adf scanning auto duplex? 2) can you confirm this is rear paper feed?

Can we go for the higher range (100 pages) during free trial and then downgrade after trial ? Or can we go for any range & cancel during trial ?

Has anyone used readyprint ? The stock ink that came finished in 10-15 pages.. if I register for free trial 3 months can I cancel it during trial period without have to pay ? And then will it be possible to use 3rd party ink?

Bumpity-bump - 7 left online at the moment!

If you don’t do much printing is it still worthwhile? I find traditional inks can run dry as only an occasional print user

If you have missed this deal earlier, this printer is now available to click and collect from Argos.

Agreed, had mine over two years, only just replaced the cartridges and my kids print loads. Brilliant machines, the only inkjet I would consider.

Never miss a 'Epson Printer' deal again!

Lower in the range. Keep up.

Yeah, complete set, loads of ink from the looks of it

Think the black print speed was slower than the same ones in the same series. Rymans have a 2710 for same price. That has a different black capacity per refill and a different print speed. Just lacks the little screen.

Yes, a complete set of refills appear to be between £15-20 in total.

Does it come with a set of ink from the start?

Great value. Cheapest I’ve seen so far for white one. Down from £229.99. With possibility of extending warranty to 3 years on Epson website.

Also guys if anyone is trying to figure out how to extend your warranty to three years, can do here:

I just purchased an Ecotank 2720 from Currys for £180, and so far it’s seems like a great buy. It came with a full set of inks, which prints on average 4,500 B&W and 7,500 Colour prints which should last 1-2 years depending on useage. Compared to buying the normal Epson inkjet printer: Printer: £60-80 B&W: £180 for the same amount of prints (£20 per cartridge which prints 500 pages) So already you’re making a saving and we haven’t even calculated the colour printing, no brainer if you ask me. Only hurdle is the up front cost.

Can agree on the timescale, we're using an Eco Tank model for business use so very regular printing and the blank refill last us a over a year; it came with a two full sets of black and colour so we'll get over two years out of it. We'll break even after eighteen months of usage compared to buying normal cartridge as we did for our old HP, plus takes a worry away when you need to print and realise we'd already used the spare when printing invoices.

For the simple reason that a full set of XL cartridges cost £77 (at Currys). Yes you can find them elsewhere for around £45, but it only contains enough for 500 black pages and 130 pages in colour, where as this Ecotank comes with four 65m bottles of each colour, which is over 7x the size of the XL black cartridge and 27x the colour ones, enough for 4,500 black pages and 7,500 colour pages.

You buy bottles of ink from the manufacturer and tip them in the tank, it is only £35 or less for a full set of 3x colour 1x black which lasts a very long time depending on use, could be 1-2 years. There might be some generic inks available for cheaper but not really worth the risk since genuine ink is so cheap.
