The eufy E340 Video Doorbell with chime combines security with convenience and requires no monthly fee to access its full features.

With dual cameras, the eufy eliminates the bottom blind spot to ensure extra security. Package, human and face recognition are all included in the S340. With 8 GB local storage included, the E340 doorbell is easy to set up and use, straight out of the box.

Dual Cameras, Double Security: Two cameras work together to deliver advanced viewing. The front-facing camera focuses on people, while the downward-facing camera fills in the gaps with a view of the floor in front of your door.

Color Night Vision for a Clear View : Introducing the industry's first dual-light system paired with an advanced light capturing and processing algorithm. Less blur than previous iterations of night vision and a significantly increased clear nighttime viewing distance of up to 16 ft (5 m).

See What Matters in 2K Full HD Clarity: 2K clarity reveals more details. Get clear and detailed visuals of your doorstep and anyone who drops by.

Battery or Wired, Your Choice: Choose battery mode for easy installation or choose wired mode to eliminate charging altogether. Comes with a quick-release battery pack, keep a spare for quick swaps and to avoid any downtime due to charging.

Wireless Chime with microSD Expandability: Hear the chime throughout your home, receive real-time notifications when someone rings the doorbell, choose from 8 sounds, and add a microSD card up to 128 GB for storing footage.

I got this in Feb (from Currys) when it was slightly cheaper. This is a brief review in case anyone is considering it and hesitant (as I was). I had my reservations, particularly on how rain-proof it was and battery life. So far, 24 days after installation, it´s showing 80% battery left (still on first charge) and has detected 800 events and recorded 400 (as per my configuration). All videos go to the SD card on the bell thingy and are of good quality and length. I can access everything online and the delay after the bell rings is just a few seconds on the phone. It´s rained pretty badly since I fitted and, fingers crossed, no signs of water ingress. I was bored, hope it helps...

Nice little review. I'm currently on 26 days installed, 966 detected events, 909 recorded events and I'm on 57% battery (set at optimal surveillance, 60 second clips). Chime works perfectly, mobile notifications and Alexa notifications take around 2 seconds. No signs of water damage either.

The downward facing camera is handy as well to see what's been left on the doorstep. (edited)

Can you view live feed with this? Or do you need the homebase 2/3 for that?

Live feed is possible without a homebase using a mobile device and the Eufy security app.

Lots of reviews on YouTube. (edited)

Tempting with the storage on the chime as I don't see that much point getting a Homebase for one of these if it's the only camera.

Is anyone here running one wired? Just wondering if it still runs from battery but trickle charges it or if runs exclusively from power as with the Ring ones we had they struggled to stay charged, even powered, because of a lot of activations with us being right on a path.

i run one wired. it disconnects the power momentarily to do do my mechanical chime.

Got this in Feb 2024. Happy so far. Better security cam compare to Ring. Just hope it will last.

Would this work with Echo dots for the chime?

It works with mine. There is a eufy skill for Alexa.

How does this compare to the Google nest doorbell battery version? I like that I can get free cloud storage on that thanks to Google one

Not sure how they compare to be honest, maybe you can find a comparison on YouTube?

However if you're happy with the nest and you get free cloud storage they maybe just stick with that one if it meets all your needs. I'd say the only thing extra this would offer is the downward facing camera.

    Hi All

This deal at £119.99 or the one linked below at £174.99? Please forgive me as I find these things confusing & so many Eufy models to choose from - need something that works with Amazon Echo devices to act as chime & show devices that can show who is at the door when away? Will be Replacing a Ring 2 Doorbell

    hotukdeals.com/dea…91?

    Many Thanks!

I know this is attractive because of the No Subscription factor, even with very fast Internet connection, this is painfully slow when comes to real life use. Often my visitors have already left by the time I get the notification. Really frustrating particularly when you're expecting a parcel.
I have complained to Eufy and searched online, but nothing will remedy this frustrating situation.

Very strange. I've had mine since it was released and I've never missed anyone. In fact, I'm able to answer if I'm not in and ask them to place round the back if no signature required too as the delay is around 2-3 seconds.

This mentions 8GB local storage, is that built into the chime or does that come with a supplied SD card? And I’d presume it’s then upgradeable with a larger SD card?
    SeanRTK's avatar

The 8gb is built into the doorbell. Then you can put a SD card up to 128gb inside the chime if you'd prefer to save the videos there instead.

To add my experience of this, I also got from Costco in February. Currently getting a replacement sent under warranty.

Doorbell is missing motion and human alerts too much. Worse of all, it sometimes does not ring or do anything when the button is pressed. Seems like it is almost in a sleep mode and misses the first press. Had a delivery driver press the button, no ring and also no motion alert and no human alert as he is literally standing in front of the camera.

Hopefully just a defective doorbell and new one works better when it arrives. But not a great start. (edited)
