Few people mention the bracket isn't strong enough for the camera weight. Was considering this or the non LED slightly cheaper version.

I have no problem with the bracket. My previous Arlo bracket broke almost immediately. This is a good price for an excellent camera. No monthly fees, a lot less charging with solar panel, colour at night, can remove animal movement etc etc

they mention the (S40) bracket used to be better for tightening and also part metal, now it is all plastic and only tightens at two points rather than three and might be vulnerable to over tightening. Not sure how long you have had yours and whether it is the new style bracket or old style. I guess it might also depend on how it is positioned and whether people are constantly messing with it to adjust it. (edited)

Read the Amazon 1 star reviews for the Eufy SoloCam E40, lots are having problems with the firmware update in January, comments about E40 cameras needing recharging after a week when they used to last months! Yes this is solar, but why create firmware that has an adverse reaction and be so slow to but it right.

My bracket is really stiff so not had issues with the camera weight. FYI its plastic with a metal ball bearing under the plastic.

This camera lasted october to march, didn’t get enough sunlight so i gave it a charge bit it still had 20% left. I think if this was mounted in a good location it wouldn’t need charging (edited)
