Added by

Motion SensorHome Alarm System Motion Sensor, 100° Coverage, 30 ft Detection Range, 2-Year Battery Life, Adjustable Sensitivity (HomeBase Required)

  • Protection That Lasts: The included battery provides up to 2 years of power for round-the-clock security.
  • Extensive Coverage: Detects motion within a 100° field of view up to 30 feet away—more than enough to secure an entire room of your home. (NOTE: This motion sensor is not waterproof.)
  • Adjustable Sensitivity: Tailor the sensitivity of the motion sensor so that it only alerts when humans are in range—rather than your playful pet dog or cat.
  • App Alerts: Notifies you as soon as motion is detected, sending a message to your phone via the eufy Security app, no matter where you are.
  • Link it Up: Connects to eufy Security HomeBase (Not Included) and well as all other eufy Security products. Simply pair it via the eufy Security app and press the button on the sensor to add it to your system.

Will never trust Eufy.  They were caught spying on customers security cameras, then lied about it trying to cover it up.  The facts were plain to see from networking logs.  In the end they had to come clean but the repetitional damage is done.  The brand is 100% untrustworthy, no matter the price.

The big mistake they’ve made with these is they’re not waterproof so, although they would have been an ideal addition trigger to their Doorbell cam range, they can’t be mouthed in an an weather exposed location so limited to a sheltered outdoor or indoor use only. (edited)

you could probably waterproof it yourself with a bit of artistic license

    Can Alexa see this?
If not does anyone know of a similar device which Alexa can see (and trigger other devices such as a light?) Thanks.

I've got the new S380 HomeBase and nothing to use with it (still waiting for my Cameras to be compatible, was Jan 23, now Feb 23).

So this motion sensor will give me something to do for 5 minutes

Does this sensor takes my noodies and send to Chinese servers via unencrypted channels so that anyone with VLC players can tune into?

A couple caveats on this on this big faux pas by Eufy/Anker... Yes they did send video unencrypted, but it had other security on it (still not great) and it wasn't being sent to China it was going to AWS (this is sorta a requirement to use the cloud to get mobile notifications to show pictures).. but they did say it was local only without pointing this out.

Recently, they did update it to include more encryption and warn its not completely local if you use thumbnails in notifications, but yeah, their security/transparency track record is not great.

Can these work with Home Assistant?

Looks like it by using Hacs integration (it uses Eufys hidden WiFi so has to talk through one of their hubs first)
