I have an Eufy, not this model.

They are as good as your house is tidy in my opinion. What I mean is, they will try to avoid clutter and obstacles but inevitably they will get stuck on certain items. One has even dragged a lamp round the room by the flux when left unattended. They do work best in rooms where there is less clutter to trip over.

As this is not a lidar device, the hoover will essentially move in a direction until it hits something, then turn a random direction and continue on. This can mean the device appears to cross over the same patch many times, however this is in part by design as the device doesn't have the suction power of an upright hoover and compensates by making multiple passes.

They are good if you keep your house tidy and understand that they will need a decent amount of time to do their thing. It's not a replacement for a human with a Dyson, but they can negate the need to vacuum most rooms they are let loose in.

pay the extra and get a LiDAR robot so much better (edited)

We've got a Neato Botvac (forget exactly which model) it's astonished us at how good it is tbh

How much normally? Are they any good though?

    We've got the 15C & 30C models.
They are good but without LiDAR to map the environment they do move about the house with seemingly no rhyme or reason. (edited)

This is a very good price. I have had 2 of them (different EUFY models) and very pleased with both. Great for a garden room where I can’t be bothered to drag the Dyson to, but the bits of dirt/dust still accumulate and need cleaning - lazy problem solved for £85!

Good little bots these. Not feature packed but for regular use they’ll pick up an amazing amount of junk and don’t smash into stuff as the sensors are pretty decent. Spare parts are cheap, too.

How effective are these with cat/dog hair on wooden/tile floors?

And wtf why am I nearly about to buy one on a total whim? I shouldn't have opened the page...

Great for pet hairs on wooden floors. I have an older model still going strong (after a few battery replacements).

I managed to get my parents an Ecovacs Deebot N8 for £194 over Christmas from Ecovacs themselves, I think you can get them for around £240 minus a £25 sign up bonus. It has the lidar and smart mapping stuff - I believe it's the cheapest one out there with those features. I would say it's definitely worth the extra. (edited)

I know everyone is saying buy a model with better navigation. But wasn't Eufy taking pictures of people without their knowledge? I'm sure it took a picture of a woman on the toilet.

Had to throw our Eufy vac away as it kept bursting through the bathroom door when my wife was in the shower, weird ☹️

Coming up as £95 for me.

100% worth buying a refurbished Neato or similar robot with laser guidance. Quicker, better cleaning and in my experience more powerful suction because it doesn't need to run as long to cover the same area.

You wouldn't employ a blind cleaner who promised to clean everything by aimlessly wandering around for twice as long even if they were cheaper. Especially if said cleaner had a tendency to get tangled in cords/rugs/toys and then bleep incessantly for you to release them.

Depends, if you're doing it for some kind of disability employment scheme.

    Yep showing as £95 now

My robo vac loves a good munch on socks. If you get one of these hide them or you will find your vac crying in a corner with a mouth full of sock

Just wondering how good this was on laminate, carpet and tiled floors respectively? Thanks

Great on them all, if a little sluggish on carpet that isn’t thin.
