If anybody is after one of these but this is a bit out of budget, I can give 2 recommendations of cheaper ones I've tried...

Eurfy RoboVac G30... not "Lidar" but still works in an efficient up down motion and maps the room, with auto return to charge base etc. It roughly. Learns where walls are and slows down to tap in to the. Goes on offer for about £160 I bekieve

Viomi SE (part of Xiaomi)... I upgraded from the above to this. It does have lidar, so knows exactly where it once it's mapped the area. Can also split up rooms... so you could make it just clean the kitchen etc. Works very well. Also has a mopping function, but as with most it's not that effective. I got it from appliances direct for £169

Still got a Eufy robovac 11 and it’s working perfectly after a £30 easy battery replacement and about 5 years of use (edited)

I have the same one, it works fine after 3 years of use. How did you change battery?

This is a great robot vaccum cleaner. It is way powerful than the predecessor G40 and has better navigation features.

I've got this. This is my first robo vac. It's brilliant.

Same here! Excellent at navigating on its own and really good vacuuming. Got it back when it was discounted to 299£ at costco, so this seems like a good price without needing the costco sub.

Can't resist, had to order one, just hope the dog doesn't chew it up.

Edit: This came today, been impressed with it so far, mapping is easy, it filled up with dog hairs straight away, I like that you can map rooms and set it off to go to an individual room, goes over our medium and thick pile rugs fine.

Set the language to Spanish and it sounds like it's swearing when it docks, not idea what it's saying.

Will probably just use it as we go to bed manually instead of a schedule.

    Happy so far! (edited)

Great robot vacuum. Replaced a DEEBOT unit that went bonkers after 6 months.

Yep, agree with the above. A cracking robot hoover. I've owned LG, Neato and briefly a Roomba, and I think this is the best.

I’ve got a G30 that I’ve had for years, absolutely battered and still works as good as I got it. Will get the x8 eventually when it’s time comes.

Is this better than the dreame d10 plus for £273 in the other deal?

Got mostly wooden floors around house but have a thickish rug in middle. Can it handle stepping onto the rug and hoover it?

I don’t think this one has the lifting mop but you can set no mop areas. Unsure how that works in real life

We have this and it's good, main use is to let it go under the sofas and cabinets and pick up the cat hair. Works on hard floors and carpet.

The only thing I would say is if you have a busy house (family, animals, stuff etc) then don't expect this to be going off at set times whilst you are out. You really need to clear the floor of objects like shoes, cat toys, cables or else it will just get tangled up and stop it doing its job.
