In case is not immediately obvious (it wasn't to me). These are not Android compatible.

These are Android compatible. I'm currently using them with Android.

They only work within Bluetooth range on Android though, so if you lose your tracker you won't benefit from any sort of network of users like you do with Tile or this tracker on iOS.

hi everyone, u dont need to argue about 'oh it supports only ios devices or it still works thru the eufy android app. this argument will be relegated to the back burner when google later this year allow 3rd party trackers access to 'find my (device)' app. the revamped app will come with a new app icon and new features, until then u can still buy tile, eufy, chipolo trackers etc. they will eventually enjoy the much-requested support which ios devices have access to thru ios version of 'find my'

You need new trackers.. the old ones won't be compatible (they don't meet the specification) which is why they are on sale. I'd wait for the compatible ones.

Chipolo call those point (one point, card point).. the others they sold in the past are not going to be compatible, and it sounds like it won't be android and iOS cross compatible either (at least from chipolo) (edited)

If you are an android user probably don't buy any of these types of tracker right now..

The new Google Find My Device service is launching in July.. where compatible trackers (from a variety of companies) will then work like air tags (all androids will be able to assist in tracking them not just your paired device)

You can pre-order some compatible ones (chipolo, peblebee are the ones I know of and have looked at/preordered - but only certain models), but anything else is a potential waste of money on android right now.

There is no guarantee they will be compatible with the service (and its unlikely, as there are strict requirements in software and hardware which most (if not all) existing devices don't meet.. some may get updated however some vendors have already confirmed that older models wont - chipolo for example. I had 2, both had the same issue, jungle happened even when lying on table. My personal experience is 100% rubbish. People can take that or leave it. I should've bought from amazon to I could have returned them more easily.

These can be used with Android using the eufy app but work better with iPhone find my network

Are these same as the Tile?

Tile work arguably much better with Android as your Tile device can be found by other Tile users. I have both Tile (Mate & Pro) and these Eufy ones. I'd struggle to recommend these over Tile for anything you might take out of the house.

For iOS devices these should beat Tile hands down.

Google will be adding their own soon with Android. The network will be even bigger than Galaxy SmartTags. If you can wait till then. Dates however still TBA.

Be aware that when you are using the Android app:
    - the date and time reflect the last time the app connected to the eufy device
    - but the location will be your phone's current location - and NOT the last known location of the eufy device when connected to the app. (edited)

Yes, that was a shock. Why put MY location on the map, I want to find the tracker not myself. I see why they call it unsupported on Android despite clearly having support, it's awful. That said, if you want to use it as a simple key finder when you're in the vicinity, that sort of thing, it's probably fine. And hang on for better native support later in the year maybe.

Is this able to be used for a child’s backpack, or does it need to really be only used by the ‘owner’ or near the phone, if that makes sense?
