I've had one of these for a few years - use it as a beach/picnic tent. Still going strong so heat from me.

I'm tempted myself for kids for beach like yourself. Wind breakers seem more expensive than this.

Looking for a waterproof 2-person tent. Should be good to use in cold weather as well. I am happy to pay extra. Any recommendations, please? (edited)

You can pay anything from £50 to £500. What matters to you? Lightness, space, price? Are you carrying it on your back or taking it in a car?

For (really) cold weather you want something small. But a small 2 person tent will be very cramped with two real people and a bit of luggage.

Have a look at the Vango and OEX ranges. They're reasonably priced and have lots of options.

BTW, for motorcycle camping I now use Khyam tents. I have the Igloo and the slightly smaller Nimbus. They're not light, but they're spacious and REALLY quick to put up / take down. Not cheap though. (edited)

Had a few over the years, OK for a weekend and cheap enough to leave behind.

You’ll find better for free almost on Facebook marketplace. Or spend a bit more and get something double skinned and slightly better water resistance outside of summer when prices drop a bit

Have one of these. Do not recommend for camping, single skin and keeps rain out but you don’t get enough oxygen in with 2 people in. Have to leave door open a bit which lets the midges in.

Good for a beach shelter (edited)

Have this, used it for one night. Not a lot of room inside and touching the sides resulted in getting very wet. It didn't rain. Gave it to the kids to play with in the garden.

These are great for camper vans - we use it as a little 'shed' to stick bikes/bags in. Wouldn't sleep in it though!
