    Careful with this, Iceland November to March has constant sub zero temperature and almost no daylight. Most of the F roads are closed and even the ring road requires a 4*4 depending on weather.

    This is good if you want to stay indoors within Reykjavik but I'd forget about road trips and the outdoors (edited)

    Definitely worth being careful if you are a nervous traveller. However, I went in mid-Feb this year, hired a small car (Hyundai I10), all hire cars at that time of the year come with studded tyres, and whilst some of the driving might be unpleasant if you aren't used to driving on snow, I found the ring road was perfectly passable. The days were short (9.30-5.15) but not so short that we didn't get amazing views.

    Visiting the Ice-caves, the waterfalls in ice and snow was simply magical. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. 50346233-m9J5r.jpg
