Love it. Just taken it out for first ride (too wet yesterday) - 45 mins, 8.5 miles. Deliberately chose a hilly route, including a 12% gradient. Tried various powers, 2-3 bars of assist felt right, but cranked it up to max for the last 15 mins to see how battery did. Am 115kg and it managed fine, and only 1 battery bar of 5 used.

Only bad news was that the fitbit didn’t count any part of the ride as active mins since my heart rate didn’t go high enough!

Also, some tips (since there’s no manual in the box and the web one Amazon support point you to is in Spanish)
    - as well as the handlebars and pedals, tighten up the power controller and bell before you take it out!
    - turn the lights on and off by holding + button on the controller.
    - to fold, undo the clip fold it out… and then lift - it’s obvious once you know but stumped me at first! (edited)

Thank you for the info. In terms of using it folded on public transport, does it feel like it's too heavy to fold and carry for that use? I realise it's difficult to answer but I've had folding bikes whereby the folding bit is only useful to get them into a boot to take somewhere to then ride! Thanks for any feedback.

Nice price for a proper decent bike, the only thing id not be happy about is the front hub motor, i know form experience that these are not as stable as either rear or mid drives, on unstable road conditions these have a tendency to slip and if applying power during a turn can slide .....just something to be aware of

    Heat for the pric

But this is what you get for the price, front hub motor...

Small wheels on our pothole ridden roads? Recipe for a face planting.

bigger wheels than a brompton and wider tyres than road bikes

noob question but how powerful are these, is it capable of going uphill with someone who is about 85 kg?

You have to peddle! It's e-assist.

Anyone know how much the bike itself weighs? Amazon page mentions 22kg but I assume that's the package weight. Can't find a proper product page elsewhere on the web.

For all that don't know, it seems there is a secret 'throttle'. Just hold the 'minus' button and it will self propel.

I hesitated, wish I hadn't just bought a non electric bike, it was a steal at that price (went to £404), now at double that.
