I have the other Fokoos (the Odin F5) and I actually really like it, but I would still advise against the Odin Smart - judging by posts on the Fokoos Facebook group (generally the best place for both official and unofficial support) the Smart just seems to have fewer users and less of a knowledge base. That combined with Fokoos being a bit evasive whens it comes to official support and spare parts recently means there are just less risky options out there.

I got an f5 when they were 50% off so was worth a punt at £130 or whatever I paid.

I'm not familiar with this print but it does seem expensive, before buying this I'd suggest comparing it with the new Ender-3 V3 SE which is £189 delivered includes auto bed levelling and fast printing.

Yes, it's the much better value printer. If you want the "smart" features you could always add a Sonic Pad and make it print much faster. (edited)

Just remembered, I bought some ribbon cables a week ago and they haven’t been dispatched, I asked for for a refund, but no reply, that says it all with Fokoos parts, great printer, but if it breaks you are stuffed. Hundreds more people in the same boat on Fokoos facebook. Good job I found an alternative part, eBay £2.99 x 5 already delivered, Fokoos £19 x 2 and they are taking money for what they haven’t got. What a shame, they have designed a great machine but won’t back it up.

Any chance of a link to those please mate? I don't need them yet but as with all of us in this boat, it's just a matter of time...

WOW my email to Fokoos asking why they haven’t posted my parts in over a week, got bounced because their mailbox is full. Well, there’s your answer to wether you should buy from Fokoos or not.

I got the F5 for £99 and it’s amazing, very fast and very quiet with the front fan turned off, but, don’t buy Fokoos if you’re new to printing, mine has broken down loads of times and I have had to find parts that I can make fit, Fokoos parts are hard to find. Look on facebook if you want to know the truth. I have 4 other good printers but I use this one the most.

What about the neptune 4 for about 250, isnt that much faster?

Yes, that was the idea of the first consumer 3d printers - RepRap reprap.org/wiki/RepRap (edited)

I don’t know if this is still an offer but, I was complaining that Fokoos didn’t send out the parts I ordered, they came today, which is quite fast from china. It’s a shame that they spoiled it with no way to email them and no tracking, or even an email to say they have posted it.
thanks for posting the offer Akil, sorry I ranted, but I think people should know what they are buying, I wish I could buy one of these, but I now have 5 printers and the wife is mad at me,.
