FAQ
Why are we doing this?
We know some customers have been building up a large Piggybank balance over the last few months and wanted to help them share this with friends or family.
How do I share my spare data with the new SIM?
Go to the ‘Mobile’ tab in the My Sky app. Select the new SIM and choose how much data you want to roll on to it.
Can I send the SIM to my friend or family member’s address?
Your new SIM will go to the registered account holder’s address for you to then pass on or post to your friend or relative. Please check current government restrictions when delivering your SIM.
How long is the new SIM free for?
The new SIM will be free for 12 months. After that it will be £5 a month or you can cancel if you feel it’s no longer needed.
Free SIM offer: Offer ends 25 February 2021. Available to existing Sky Mobile customers with 6 or less SIMs registered to their account. 1 free SIM per account. 12-month minimum term applies. Standard charges (currently £5 per month) apply after minimum term. 31 days’ notice to cancel. SIM posted to account holder’s address only. Free SIM pre-loaded with 100Mb of data. Share data in 1GB increments with up to 7 SIMs on your account.

sorted byI have another sim with them. 2gb for £3 and I wanted them to least match that but they were adamant £4.80 is the best offer they can give or stay on 100mb and pay £5. Ridiculous!
I did that.... made no difference.
Why not take it just now? You get the sim, activate it, and would still get 9 months for free, then you can either cancel or pay the £5 from Feb next year?
Adding a bit more info here to put this comment in context:
Im going off a conversation i had with a sky advisor for the Nokia deal when i bought it upfront (no credit check/monthly payment). He said all our free sims come with free mins/texts and the minimum data available 100mb. He did mention that all data sims are a minimum 12m term, but this didn’t matter as the sum is free anyway
Suppose it doesn’t matter on this deal as you’re expecting 12m anyway. Anything more is a bonus (edited)
£5 a month unless you cancel it
I have been on HUKD since April 2013 and honestly this is THE hottest deal I have ever seen!
That’s my plan , yes. (Unless Sky offer something next year to convince me otherwise)
Agree I constantly see the veryme offers which are freebies for existing customers only at top of the deals section.
Perfect example is this one
hotukdeals.com/dea…129
Not sure why the exact same concept but for Sky customers isn't permitted as a deal
Just cancel or switch to the 3gb for £6 or whatever else is on offer after 12m
Can we get this one and transfer her number over to this free sim easily?
Reduced to 0 when u actually checkout
You can cap it. You’ll also get a notification at 80%. If you’ve got the data to move around, you could always move 1gb over and if it’s not used it’ll go back into the pot again.
I don’t really like sky, but what they’ve done with the piggy bank should be applauded. Hope it shakes up the uk mobile market
So you wont go for it because its too much and not enough data.

What i did was log into account first, than click on the link.
Why is 12 months mentioned then?
Sign to account then come back here and select this link as showing above
Go to sky.com/sharemysparedata*
Worked for me this way. Good luck. (edited)
Yes, but you can transfer data from piggybank to it. If run out of data, you either need to buy extra data, transfer data or wait for refresh
You forget the unlimited data on sky apps like sky go (very good for ipad's)
This is incorrect. Any remaining data will be banked at the end of the month.
You can only withdraw in multiples of 1GB.
T&C states prices might rise during minimum 12 months term.
eg. 100mb is £5 but you get £5 discount. Unlimited calls is £10 but you get £10 discount. Nothing to pay provided you also set monthly spending cap to £0.00 to block going over 100mb or making premium calls.
If there is a price rise, they could for example charge say £5.25 for 100mb and £10.50 for unlimited calls. But fixed discounts could remain unchanged, so you could end up paying 75p per month from date when price rise takes effect.
Sky normally announce fixed phone and Broadband price rises in February with effect from 1st April. No idea when was last Sky Mobile price rise, if any.
Update 16 Feb 2021: sky announced price rises yesterday with effect from 1st April for broadband and TV. There is NO price rises for Sky Mobile customers. (edited)
Got Nokia 105 with calls/text 100mb data sim free for life, wanted to pay upfront with 60gb data so total cost £12. They had trouble applying the 60gb piggybank data so credited me £30 on my account and let me keep the data.
Also applied 50% off wife's 3gb sim for 3 years.
Thanks (edited)
U can transfer it out and go back in, and it reset yes.. I can't be arse to do that yet but others have and cs confirm it reset.
No - go for one of these three.co.uk/Fre…der and use the information on the Ofcom site to move your number: ofcom.org.uk/abo…ing (edited)
All the SIMs I've received from Sky were opened (maybe they check the codes?)
The data is based on your existing refresh date on your account. It'll be a percentage of the days you have until that.
I only know the answer to the first question:
You will have to take your number to another network and then bring it back to sky - as follows:
• You give the request on day 1. (Let's say Tuesday).
3, EE & Lebara. I can confirm these three networks don't need topping up before they can get activated and Lebara will even give you £10 if you take your number to them.
Order just went through for me

That's where it started off
Take it now ready for may
